Loomberah Garden
Open Time: 1pm – 5pm Sat
Presentation at 1:30pm Accessibility: mobility devices with assistance, not suitable for wheelchairs
Carine and Wayne moved to “Ngamumali” in 1997. They had a paddock as a blank canvas and first established a veggie patch & chook yard with the aim to grow their food using permaculture principles. The couple’s needs evolved with their growing family and interest in exotic plants and natives. Diversity in planting means a wild, eclectic garden that attracts plenty of insects, birds and various animals, sacrificing a few plants to a thriving eco-system in the process! Carine and Wayne are constantly working on improving their soil using organic methods. They are aiming to incorporate plants that will resist increasingly challenging weather conditions.
