Denise has created a haven in her suburban plot. Native flowers mix with hardy perennials to create a gorgeous spray of colour in the Spring, all shaded by the well established eucalypts. The garden has a reduced lawn area to conserve water in times of drought, as well as heavily mulched beds that keep watering to a minimum.

Awkward spaces have been filled with dense groundcovers, showcasing what can be done in lower light areas. Situated on a slope, this garden is a great example of how to tier your plants to maximise privacy, whilst still maintaining views. Paths wind through the plantings to enable access to the entire area, enabling visitors to get up close to all areas. There are also some easy water saving methods on display.
