Patrick Street Garden

Pauleen and Anthony Parker’s garden is a place to feel welcome, relaxed and safe. It’s a spot to be shared with family, friends and the wildlife. The couple began putting the garden together in 2018.

The plants are a mix of hardy natives and exotics to suit the Tamworth
climate. The front yard was originally bare and extremely hot in summer, so it was decided to plant it out as a buffer from the western aspect and to give some privacy. This also provided shelter for many kinds of native wildlife that now also enjoy visiting the space. The back yard is quite a shaded area with grandchildren and family in mind.

A vegetable and herb garden as well as citrus trees mean that the garden produces a lot for the family despite its small area. It’s a space where every corner is used and is enjoyable by all.
