White Street Verge Garden

This verge garden is testament to what can be achieved in a tiny space with the goodwill of others. The small plot acts like a communal kitchen, with passersbys encouraged to take some of the delicious fruits on the trees and neighbours encouraged to plant their own veggies in the raised beds. These beds are tended to by the generous owners of the house next door, and the Mahonys have done an excellent job in creating a little bit of kindness and community on their street.

This garden is a great example of how a small space can produce quite a lot of food, and showcases how healthy, home grown vegetables and fruits can bring a neighbourhood together.
